Project Summary

Oak Hill School B Wing

Challenges:

Working in an existing building, especially one with children close by is a great responsibility. Baron Construction had very specific timelines on start and end times due to children occupying the facility. The age of the current facility was also a challenge that brought unforeseen conditions regarding MEP and structural issues.

Resolutions:

Baron Construction developed a detailed plan for delivery schedules and project timeline that met both the start and finish date. This was accomplished through weekly meetings to review the schedule and design progress. We also increased capacity on our demolition crew as soon as the school year completed in order to start and finish the project on time. As new issues emerged with the existing structure, Baron Construction brought in a structural engineer to review and remedy structure concerns resulting in new ductwork, wiring, and plumbing that improved the overall function of the building.
